Carlene Pyziak was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba with a Bachelors’s in Physical Education. She then continued her education to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba as well.
Carlene grew up playing sports, her favourite being soccer. Growing up she knew she wanted a career where she could help people and make a difference in their life. Both her love of sports and helping people influenced her to pursue a career in Physiotherapy.
Carlene is passionate about helping others by empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation. Carlene understands how important it is to have a treatment plan that is unique and personalized to the individual. Therefore, she finds it is important to educate her patients and give them the tools they need to help take care of their bodies so they can live a healthy active lifestyle.
It is her belief that it is important to continue to grow and learn by taking additional courses to make sure she is giving the best treatment possible.
She has currently completed the following courses:
- Level 1 orthopaedics
- Pelvic floor physiotherapy: Level 1- The Physical Therapy Approach to Female and Male Urinary Incontinence
- Level 2/3- Female and Male Pelvic Pain
When Carlene is not at the clinic, she enjoys leading an active lifestyle by working out, hiking and taking her husky for lots of walks.
